Guidance from My Father …

When I attended Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Camp my dad wrote letters to me. The words in these letters are still relevant today.

Originally intended for personal healing, "Bloom" grew into something greater. It wasn't until I read the full manuscript aloud that I realized its universal significance. Guided by intuition, this project evolved, unearthing the truth within us.

From an alcoholic home to a diagnosis of manic depressive disorder at 14, a hospitalization, the loss of my father to suicide 5 months later, being on and off cocktails of medication for over a decade, and a 15-year battle with an eating disorder—my story mirrors a universal struggle. Today, I embrace life, channeling pain into creativity and finding every opportunity to dance and feel joy.

Bloom transcends individual experiences. It illuminates resilience and the capacity for growth. My father used to always give me yellow roses. Along this journey he’s shown up as yellow roses. I know this project is divinely guided and I know it has the potential to shift the collective consciousness around mental health issues in our society. It healed my heart writing it, I hope it heals others who get to experience it.
